The Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics) course is a blended program that combines one intensive face-to-face subject and seven fully online subjects. What you will study
To earn the Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics), students must complete eight subjects or 100 credit points. Each subject is worth 12.5 credit points.
Students must complete 50 credit points of core subjects:
- Paediatric Physiotherapy Theory
- Clinical Paediatric Physiotherapy
- Rehabilitation for Paediatrics
- Research and Evidence in Practice
Entry requirements
To be considered for entry into this course, you must have:
- Completed an undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
- Be qualified as a physiotherapist and registered to practice as a physiotherapist.
- Have at least two years of relevant post-entry to practice professional experience in paediatric physiotherapy.
English language requirements
All applicants to the University of Melbourne must satisfy the English language requirements. This may be achieved in several ways, including a recognised previous study taught and assessed entirely in English or an approved English language test. If you are from a non-English speaking background, the required standard of English for this degree is one of the following English proficiency test scores:
- IELTS (Academic) – 7.0, with no band less than 7.0

- Pearson – 72+, with written communicative skill of 75 and no other communicative skill below 60
