What you will study
To earn the Graduate Certificate in Health Management and Leadership, you must complete two core units and two electives for 48 credit points. Each unit is worth 12 credit points.

Entry requirements
You can gain entry into the Graduate Certificate in Health Management and Leadership with one of the following:
- A completed recognised bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline.
- A completed recognised diploma qualification in any discipline with at least three years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience which includes at least one year full-time (or equivalent) in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Current registration within your field of practice with a nationally recognised professional body with at least three years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience.
- For applicants working in a field of practice that does not have a nationally recognised professional body, at least seven years full-time equivalent (FTE) professional experience in a supervisory or leadership role (e.g. with responsibility for decision-making, team work, quality assurance and/or policy development).
Recognition of Prior Learning
You may be able to have your past studies or work experience count as credit towards your QUT course. QUT call this 'advanced standing'. That means you might not have to complete all the units in your course structure. You may be able to graduate sooner. Exemptions are assessed individually – talk to QUT's Course Consultant for more information.
