Offers nurses a dynamic pathway to advance healthcare through rigorous research training, fostering innovation and leadership in clinical inquiry.

Course overview
This degree is designed for registered nurses who want to develop research skills that have practical application for innovations in the health care industry and a scholarly understanding of nursing practice. It enables informed participation in research endeavours and clinical practice innovation and improvement. In this degree, students extend and deepen their knowledge of a specialised nursing area through a supervised research program.
Your research program is tailored to you. You’ll design it with your supervisors and the Faculty of Health at the start of your Research Master's. With access to UTS networks, facilities and advanced training, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your speciality.
Under expert mentorship, you’ll study your chosen nursing-related research topic over multiple years. You’ll regularly present your research to a team of experts for assessment. Your final research thesis or practice-led research project (such as a policy proposal or whitepaper) will be examined to determine how you have uniquely contributed to your chosen field.
