Students who complete two subjects plus Introduction to Psychology Foundations and Introduction to Psychological Science will be eligible to exit with a Graduate Certificate in Psychology.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have completed one of the following UTS-recognised qualifications or an overseas equivalent (in any discipline): ​ 

  • Advanced Diploma (AQF 6)​
  • Bachelor's Degree​
  • Graduate Certificate​
  • Graduate Diploma​
  • Doctorate or Master's (research or coursework)

English language requirements

The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is:

Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.5. For applicants without an Academic IELTS score, refer to the UTS Register of English Language Requirements Proficiency for other methods of satisfying the English language requirements for the course/s.

Recognition of prior learning

Recognition of prior learning will be granted based on the completion of equivalent subjects from an APAC-accredited Level 1 program in Psychology within the last 10 years. The maximum number of subject exemptions that can be granted is two (12 credit points). The subjects may include Introduction to Psychological Science and Introduction to Psychology Foundations. Students must provide the subject outline(s) so that the Responsible Academic Officer can determine whether the prior learning is equivalent to one of these subjects in the Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

The estimated fee is calculated based on a study load of 60 credit points per session.

Tuition fees are charged:

  • Based on the particular course in which you are enrolled.
  • Based on the number of credit points you are enrolled in.
  • At the rates set for the current year and revised annually.

In addition to tuition fees, students are required to pay a Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). The purchase of textbooks and other course materials may also result in additional costs.
