Entry requirements
Candidature for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Nursing is based on the following requirements.
Graduate Diploma in Nursing (80 credit points)
- Registered Nurse (currently registered to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Nursing and Midwifery), or eligibility for same, or certificate of registration of nursing, within the last five years, in their own country; and
- Completion of an undergraduate degree (AQF Level 7 or equivalent) in any discipline or a Graduate Certificate in Nursing.
Graduate Diploma in Nursing (60 credit points)
- Registered Nurse (currently registered to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Nursing and Midwifery), or eligibility for same, or certificate of registration of nursing, within the last five years, in their own country; and
- Completion of an undergraduate degree (AQF Level 7 or equivalent) or a Graduate Diploma, or higher in any discipline; and
- Two years of equivalent professional work experience as a registered nurse within the last five years.
Additional Information
Applicants seeking admission based on work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
English language requirements

Commonwealth Supported Places
The Australian Government allocates a certain number of CSPs to the universities each year, which are then distributed to students based on merit.
If you're a Commonwealth Supported Student (CSS), you only need to pay some of your tuition fees. The student contribution amount is the balance once the government subsidy is applied. This means your costs are much lower.
Limited CSP spaces are offered to students enrolled in selected postgraduate courses.
