The Master of Science (Health Services Management) is tailored towards professionals working in a variety of health science settings, including both government and non-government organisations. Particular emphasis is placed on critical and analytical skills in policy analysis, economic evaluation and epidemiology, providing graduates with the ability to respond creatively to changes as they arise. The Health Services Management specialisation is designed for medical, nursing, allied health and other health professionals who require skills in contemporary management and their application in the health care setting. Particular emphasis is placed on critical and analytic skills in health service governance, financing, quality and safety, planning and evaluation and health policy, thus providing graduates with the ability to respond effectively to changes as they arise. Students in this specialisation can further focus their studies in areas relevant to health service managers, such as project management, aged care management, human resource management and research and development.

Entry requirements
Master of Health Science (160 credit points)
Applicants must have either an undergraduate, master or doctoral degree in any discipline or a graduate diploma or graduate certificate in any discipline and three years full-time equivalent work experience in a relevant health-related discipline.
Master of Health Science (120 credit points)
Applicants must have either an undergraduate degree or a graduate certificate in a relevant health-related discipline.
Master of Health Science (80 credit points)
Applicants must have an undergraduate honours, graduate diploma, master or doctoral degree in a relevant health-related discipline.
Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
